607 W. Main
In 1932 a log building named the Payson Hotel was built on this site. In 1954 it was remodeled, together with the building to the west, as the Ox Bow Inn and Saloon. The name comes from Oxbow Hill, the gateway to Payson, named when soldiers in the 1870s found an ox bow on the trail.HM Number | HM19W5 |
