In the advance of the Brigade November 23 on the Orchard Knob line the 41st with the 93d suffered the heaviest loss, that of the former being 11 killed and 52 wounded.



In the storming of the Ridge on the 25th, Colonel Wiley was severely wounded at the enemy's works at its foot, and Lieutenant Colonel Kimberly led the regiment to the summit, which was reached about this point. A battery was captured and turned on the enemy. Strength in action: 9 officers, 194 men. Casualties: killed, 1 officer, 17 men; wounded, 5 officers, 65 men; total 88.
