Huset, uppfördes 1854 för handlanden Lars Johan Warodell efter ritningar av arkitekt Fredrik Wilh. Scholander. Biografen Skandia är en tillbyggnad från 1920-24 ritad av arkitekt Ragnar Hjorth. Biograf-inredningen är utförd av arkitekt Gunnar Asplund och räknas som en höjdpunkt i 1920-talets interiörkonst.


Main building from 1854. Annex was built for the Skandia cinema 1920-24. Cinema interior by architect Gunnar Asplund. It is considered as a highpoint in the interior design of the 1920s.
