Ohio Volunteer Infantry
was encamped near this point on
the old Patterson farm and
mustered into the service of
the United States August 20th 1862
with 968 men.
Left for the front August 23rd 1862.
Mustered out at Nashville, Tenn.
June 8th 1865 with 376 men.
