Casa-Museo el BeaterioEstablecido en 1530 a cargo de beatas para "...(el) recogimiento de niñas, doncellas de todas edades, españolas y mestizas que andan perdidas por la tierra". Fue el primer beaterio dominico de Santo Domingo, antes de su traslado para el Convento Regina Angelorum. Albergó a Sor Leonor de Ovando y Doña Elvira de Mendoza, primeras poetisas de las Américas.

English translation:
House and Museum El Beaterio Established in 1530 by lay sisters for "... (the) gathering of girls, damsels of all ages, both Spanish and mixed-race who are lost on earth". It was the first Dominican beaterio of Santo Domingo, before its transfer to the Regina Angelorum Convent. It housed Leonor de Ovando and Elvira de Mendoza, the first poetesses of the Americas.
