The two dormitories of this site were originally named in honor of Walter Krug and Alice Cogswell. Built in 1965, Krug Hall served as a men's dormitory and Cogswell Hall was a women's dormitory until they became co-ed in 1980. Krug and Cogswell Halls were designed with an atrium-style center for visual communication access among the residents.
