Eind 1999 heeft dit zeventiende-eeuwse huis zijn
rijk geornamenteerde halsgevel teruggekregen
Deze top was rond 1900 wegens bouwvalligheid
vervangen door een eenvoudige lijstgevel. Aan de
hand van oude foto's en tekeningen en door
vergelijking met gelijksoortige gevels werd de top
gereconstrueerd. De top bestaat uit een fronton
in driepasvorm met borstbeeld, alsmede
klauwstukken met siervazen en lambrekijn.
Het borstbeeld bleek nog in de tuin aanwezig.
De overige onderdelen werden door Atelier Snoep
en Vermeer gehakt uit ruim veertien ton kalksteen.
De Vereniging Vrienden van Stadsherstel heeft
het terugbrengen van de oorspronkelijke
gevelbekroning financieel mogelijk gemaakt.

At the end of 1999 the richly ornamented neck gable on this seventeenth-century house was restored. The top was reconstructed on the basis of old photos and drawings, and by comparison with similar facades. The top consists of a pediment in a three-step shape with a bust, as well as claw pieces with decorative vases and lambskin. The bust was still present in the garden. The remaining parts
were carved by Atelier Snoep and Vermeer from more than fourteen tons of limestone.
The Friends of Stads Herstel Association made financially possible the restoration of the original facade crowning.
