This is a 2-10-0 decapod type freight locomotive built by Baldwin Locomotive Works for Imperial Russia, which contracted with Baldwin in 1915 for some 1,200 locomotives. Following the Russian Revolution, and therefore the inability to deliver these locomotives, 20 were purchased by the "Frisco." Changes were made to meet American standards, including widening the wheel tread to commodate the 3 1/2" gauge difference. Number 1621 has 52" drivers and weighs 362,100 pounds.
