Strong Homestead

Nathan Hale's mother Elizabeth Strong (1727-1767) lived in this early eighteenth Century house before her marriage in 1746 to Richard Hale. Six of her nine sons were engaged in the War of the American Revolution "A daughter of the Puritans" she was doubly descended from Elder John Strong (1605-1699) of Northhampton a notable pioneer founder of New England.
