A Brewer from start to finish, Wegman spent his entire 11-year Major League career in Milwaukee. Enjoyed career-best year in 1991, posting a 15-7 record with seven complete games and 2.84 ERA - third lowest in the American League. That year, Wegman was also recognized as the Hutch Award winner, given to the Major League player who best exemplified the fighting spirit and competitive desire of Fred Hutchinson. The following season, Wegman finished in the top ten in the A.L. in both ERA (3.20) and innings pitched (261.2). At the time of his retirement, Wegman ranked fifth in franchise wins (81), fourth in games started (216) and innings pitched (1,482.2), and second in seasons as a pitcher (11).HM Number | HM2M5A |
