English translation:Church of El Señor de la SaludChurch of the Lord of HealthThe construction of this building took place between 1630 and 1642, prior and parson Fray Alonso de la Fuente, was responsible for overseeing the execution of the work. The church is small, with an austere façade; its access or front door is shaped like an arch on which the choir oval window is observed. It has a single three-level bell tower. The facade and the tower are topped with a cross. The building's interior is sober, modest in size; it just has space for a row of seats and a high altar where the image of the "Señor de la Salud" is appreciated. Its roof is shaped like a barrel vault. The image exposed on the high altar, was a gift made by the inhabitants of the neighboring town of Salvatierra to their neighbors of Yuriria, called before Yuririapúndaro. The devotion to the Señor de la Salud is ancient and widely accepted in various towns of Guanajuato and Michoacán. The image

that is sheltered in this church belongs to the so-called "Imploring or pleading Christ" precisely because the position of the crucified body, the slight tilt of the head to the right, the facial expressions that accurately reflect the pain and suffering of this magnificent wood carving generate an empathic connection with the faithful people who come to ask for his intercession in order to have healthiness for their bodies or souls.
