They called it "The Miracle in Milwaukee." It was a love affair between a team and a community like few others in baseball history. From 1953 to 1965, the Braves earned the fans' loyalty by playing great baseball. In 13 seasons, the team - which never suffered a losing season - enjoyed a 1,146-890 (.563) record. The Braves won two National League pennants (1957, 1958) and defeated the New York Yankees, four games to three, in the 1957 World Series. Off the field, the Braves became the first National League team to draw more than two million fans in a single season.
