In 1915, a two-span reinforced concrete arch bridge was built over Arnold Creek near Central Station by the Clarksburg-based Concrete Steel Bridge Company. Constructed during the Good Roads Movement and the state's first major effort to address poor rural road conditions, it aided industrial development in the area. The bridge was in use until it was demolished in 2016.
