Named Plaza de los M?rtires de la Integridad Nacional in 1897 in memory of Spanish Soldier who died in the encounters of August 1896, was rebuilt by the Intramuros Administration and opened on July 1982.

Manuel C. Elizalde Jr. donated the stone paving.
