Site of a settlement established in 1830s. By 1838 it was most important trading point in the county. After a State Road was built through Feliciana in 1845, it became one of the greatest commercial centers in western Ky. This community remained prominent until bypassed by the railroad in 1858. Abandoned when business interests moved to other towns.

  1. I have seen this marker, it's not far from my home I will get a good photo of it this weekend but if I remember well it says that Feliciana was chosen to actually be the state of Ky Capitol but then it was changed to Frankfort . This may not be exact wording but I will get a photo this weekend. It can be clearly seen right on the side of the road. On hwy 94
