of the first settlers in Antioch.
September 16, 1850
Led by Captain George W. Kimball
the party sailed from Maine aboard the
California Packet No.2 March 1850
And reached San Francisco Bay
August 24, 1850
We respect the foresight of these
pioneers who sought homes and other
riches in the soil besides gold.
