An innovative thinker, Charles H. Burchard organized Virginia Tech's College of Architecture and Urban Studies, creating a program that shaped architectural education nationwide. His influential work and leadership of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture and the National Architecture Accrediting Board earned him the National Award for Excellence in Architectural Education and elevation to Fellow in the American Institute of Architects.
