Celebrating 140 Years

In October of 1867, the firm of Olmsted & Vaux selected this site for our great park.
It took almost 30 years to
pass the correct legislation,
and in 1895, Branch Brook Park was built.
We are so grateful to the visionaries who
understood the need for open space
in urban areas, and created the first
county park system in America.
