1788 gründete hier der Leibkoch der Kaiserin Maria Theresia, Franz Jahn ein Nobelrestaurant, eine sogenannte Traiteurie, wo berühmte Konzerte stattfanden.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart führte hier 1788 ein Pastorale von Händel, und Ludwig von Beethoven 1797 ein Quintell für vier Bläser und Pianoforte auf.

[English translation:]
In 1788, the personal chef of the Empress Maria Theresia, Franz Jahn, established a restaurant for the upper classes, a so-called Traiteurie (i.e. a restaurant where all dishes are cooked to order), where famous concerts took place.

In 1788 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart conducted a pastoral by Handel here, and in 1797 Ludwig von Beethoven lead a quintet for four wind instruments and fortepiano here, as well.
