I recently read a comment on this page regarding the governor of Georgia, who wanted to change the name, mascot, and the black and gold colors of a historical African - American school in Bainbridge, Georgia Please check out the History of this school and the beginning of it's creation. I attended this school in my 3rd grade year, and the school was set a fire and burned to the ground. No one was ever caught, the fire remains suspicious as the students of Hutto education was interrupted. The students had to attend school on a half day schedule until the new school was built. Needless to say, other African -African schools succumbed to the same fate in the State of Georgia. All remained suspicious. We need everyone to stand up and fight this petition.
