Baker City Historic District

—Established 1874 —

This building was one of Baker City's first masonry structures when constructed about 1879. Solomon's One Price Clothing House originally occupied the first floor of the north half of the building. By the 1990s, footware had been sold in the building by various businesses for more than 100 years. Professional offices, and the Elite Photography Studio, which photographed much of the city's early history, occupied the upstairs.
A renovation of the north facade in 1983 included restoration of an unusual arched entryway installed in the 1920s and the reuse of a wood sign that had been on the building in the 1800s.
