The wonderful healing powers of the waters of Indian Spring were known to the Indians before the pioneers blazed the trail of civilization in Georgia. Such were their belief and confidence in the medicinal virtues of the waters that they came with their sick and invalid and tented on the hill-sides, that the afflicted might drink of the life-giving stream, and be restored to health.
