Inscription
This original alloy steel school bell rang for the children attending the Sharp School located on Delong Road. The Sharp School was built in 1870 and was one of eleven one-room school houses in Shawnee Township by 1874. In 1926, ten of the schools were consolidated as students attended the new Shawnee Centralized School located on Zurmehly Road.
