Ancient Mounds Trail

Mayflower is a rectangular-shaped mound with a flat top. It was 10 1/2 feet tall, 130 by 130 feet at the base and 60 by 65 feet at the summit. The mound is well preserved, but the southeast corner was damaged during historic times. Decorated pottery found near the mound suggests Indians built it around AD 900.Lower PlaqueThis archaeological site is on private property.
