The Sanctuary, built in the 14th century and destroyed in the 20th. The cross of burnt roof timbers, the cross of nails in the cathedral and the altar of broken stones, are symbols of the Christian hope of resurrection after suffering. The Litany of Reconciliation is said before the Altar, reaffirming the special Ministry of Reconciliation and Renewal every Friday at noon.
