 Monumento a Benito JuarezNació en San Pablo Guelatao, Oaxaca, el 21 de marzo de 1806 y murió en la Ciudad de México, 18 de julio de 1872 fue un abogado y político mexicano, de origen indígena zapoteca, presidente de México en varias ocasiones del 18 de diciembre de 1857 al 18 de julio de 1872. Se le conoce como el "Benemérito de las Américas". Es célebre su frase "Entre los individuos, como entre las naciones, el respeto al derecho ajeno es la paz".La Colonia Mexicana donó el monumento para la celebración del Centenario de la Independencia de Guatemala.
English:Monument to Benito JuárezHe was born in San Pablo Guelatao, Oaxaca, March 21st, 1806 and died in Mexico City July 18th, 1872. He was a lawyer and Mexican politician, with indigenous Zapoteca origins. He was president of Mexico multiple times from December 18th, 1857 to July 18th, 1872. He is known as "Benemérito de las Américas". His saying is celebrated: "Among individuals, as among nations, respect of foreign rights is peace."The Mexican population in Guatemala
