Cyril E. Homer, D.D.

Cyril E. Homer D.D., served as president of South-Eastern Bible College from 1955 to 1958 and again from 1970 to 1979. Well-respected and appreciated by students and faculty alike, Dr Homer was known simply as "Cy."
During his two tenures as president, the school progressed considerably - the curriculum was upgraded substantially with the initiation of a four-year program leading to a bachelor of arts degree, and several construction projects were completed including the addition of a second floor to the administration building , as well as the construction of Bush Chapel and the gymnasium. During the last nine years of his administration, enrollment more than doubled, with faculty increasing by the same ratio.
A pastor for many years, his churches recorded remarkable numerical and spiritual growth under his ministry. He was an Army chaplain during both World War II and the Korean conflict. His district responsibilities included serving as a presbyter and assistant superintendent.
