Built by Davenport Besler Corp., the #1149 is a 1-B-1 experimental gas-turbine locomotive which has two Boeing 502-2E, 150 h.p. jet engine type gas turbine and was tested by the Army at Fort Eustis, VA. Donated in 1980 by its designer R. Tom Sawyer.
