This is the birthplace of Lysander Spooner. January 19,1808- May 14, 1887. Champion of Liberty lawyer, abolitionist, entrepreneur, legal theorist and scholar. In this house he wrote "The Unconstitutionality of Slavery" and other works. Spooner died in Boston and is buried in Forest Hills Cemetery
