Cemetery at Belmont

This 50 ft × 60 ft graveyard, surrounded by an iron fence, contains 21 headstones and 17 foot stones in the enclosure. Some of the inscriptions on sandstone markers are now unable to be deciphered due to weathering and elements. Below is a list of markers as noted in a 1935 accounting.

This cemetery is located in close proximity to the stone quarry reservoir that was once the property of the Mayer Family who owned the David M. Mayer house, Lime Kiln operation and Belmont Stone Quarry.

During a 1935 observation of the Mayer Cemetery, these names and dates were recorded. At that time, there were 21 headstones and 17 footstones in the fenced-in enclosure.
