12 Broad St.This brick building was originally built as a garage for horse and carriage in 1910. It was converted to a theater for showing "silent flickers" in 1917. A new facade was added to replicate the Spanish Mission Style architecture common to movie theatres in Hollywood. It prospered as Berlin's movie house and only entertainment venue for 50 years.
