Acquired from the Chicago Cubs in December, 1971, Colborn was a workhorse during his five-year tenure in Milwaukee. Selected to the American League All-Star Team in 1973, a season in which he became the Brewers' first 20-game winner. That year, Colborn finished sixth in the American League Cy Young voting after posting a 20-12 record, 3.18 ERA and 22 complete games in 314.1 innings pitched. Career totals with Milwaukee include 57 wins, 3.65 ERA and 51 complete games in 140 starts. Holds the Brewers' single-season records of 314.1 innings pitched and 1,287 batters faced. His 22 complete games as a Brewer in 1973 were surpassed only by Mike Caldwell's 23 complete games in 1978.HM Number | HM2KE5 |
