Known for his keen eye at the plate, Hamilton played seven of his 13 Major League seasons in Milwaukee. At the conclusion of his tenure with the Brewers, Hamilton's .290 batting average ranked third in franchise history among players with at least 2,000 plate appearances, and his .351 career OBP ranked fourth. Led the 1993 Brewers with a .310 batting average, 161 hits and 21 stolen bases. From 1991-1993, Hamilton's .306 batting average was tenth-best in the American League. A steady defensive outfielder who once held the A.L. record for consecutive errorless games at 229.
