Inscription
In memory of Lt. Col. Cecil Bishoppwho died of wounds received during the raid onBlack Rock, New York, July 11, 1813during the War of 1812.He was buried in this cemetery on July 17, 1813.In 1846 Bishopp's two sisters erected this memorial in tribute to, as the inscription on the adjacent crypt reads, "an excellent man and beloved brother."
