Charterhouse Astheim. Thus, the present inn was from the previous monastery courtyard of the Karthäuser, and is thus considered the oldest house in town.
Later, around 1730, a pub was established here,
providing refreshments to the carters passing by. Iron rings in the earlier
surrounding (monastery wall) nearby allowed them to tether their draft animals here.
Lindach was then on a thoroughfare with a north-south orientation, in contrast to today's east-west layout.
More recently, the inn evolved from
a simple farmer's business into more of a gastronomic destination, while still retaining its village inn charm.
Today local festivals and celebrations are held here.
