Internationally known saxophonist, Homer Louis "Boots" Randolph attended the old Munfordville High School on this site from 1942-1944. While here he played guitar and trombone. Randolph started playing saxophone as a high school senior in Evansville, Indiana. Moving to Nashville in 1961, he became the outstanding saxophonist of his day, the first saxophonist to record with Elvis Presley. He is featured on many Presley records and eight movie sound tracks. He also recorded with Roy Orbison, Al Hirt, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chet Atkins, Richie Cole, Brenda Lee, Floyd Cramer, Buddy Holly, Alabama & Johnny Cash.
