1 May 1862 - Sand Mountain Cavalry Battle CSA Gen. Forrest - Union Col. Streight.

24 Aug. 1863 - FT. Deposit- Gunters Landing Skirmish.

27, Dec. 1863 - Buck Island Massacre.

2 Mar. 1864 - Guntersville attacked and captured by Union Infantry.

14 Mar. 1864 - Claysville Skirmish - Home Guard defeats and captured Union Infantry Company.

13 Apr. 1864 - Guntersville shelled by Union Gunboat attacked by Union Infantry.

22 May 1864 - Town Creek Skirmish.

26-27 May 1864 - Union forces moved through Marshall County enroute to Atlanta.

25 Oct. 1864 - Gen. Hood's 38,000 CSA Army Camps Brown Valley enroute Tenn.

14 Jan. 1865- Beard's Bluff and Ft. Deposit Skirmish.

15 Jan. 1865- Guntersville burned by Marines from Union Gunboats.
