Sanford

To commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of this
significant event in the development of education in
Florida and to observe the semicentennial of the
founding of Rollins College this marker is placed here
28 April 1935
by the Sallie Harrison Chapter, Daughters of the
American Revolution and other citizens of Sanford
and Seminole County.
