An eagle flies and a solemn flag waves
Look up to the sky and not down to our graves.
Remember what has been done and everything given
In everything you do and the life you are livin'.
I served my country on bended knee.
Wyandotte don't cry for me.

I gave my life of my free choice
To stand for those who had no voice.
I stood by my brothers hand in hand
To bring justice to a foreign land.
Willingly traveled over land and sea.
Michigan don't cry for me.

I am an American soldier, a Vietnam Vet.
I gave my life for all, so you may owe no debt.
I died for the home of the brave and the land of the free
America don't cry for me.
