c. 1818
Part of Carrington Row, this row house was built in 1818 by the sons of Ann Adams Carrington. The architecture was inspired by the work of Benjamin Henry Latrobe and Robert Mills. The home was designed by builder-architect Otis Mason. It is the oldest existing row house in the City of Richmond. Dr. R.L. Bohannon, one of the founders of the Medical College of Virginia once lived here. It once housed the law offices of former Governor Douglas L. Wilder.HM Number | HM19WR |
