To commemorate the first crossing from east to west and the first double crossing of the Atlantic by air accomplished by the British airship R34 which left East Fortune Scotland on July 2nd 1919, landed Mineola Long Island on July 6th, and returned to Pulham England arriving July 13th 1919.
