City of laurel Walking Tour
St. Philip's Church was built in 1848 through the efforts of Horace and Louisa Snowden Capron and Parishioners. It was probably the first building in Laurel designed by a professional Architect. It houses a bell from St. Paul's Church in Baltimore that rang to warn the approaching British in 1814. An old cemetery can be seen behind the church.HM Number | HM1HYT |
