District Description:The structures comprising Park Place Historic District illustrate architecture from four periods of residential development spanning a nearly 100-year period in Niagara Falls, New York.1. Mid-19th Century Workman's Cottages 2. Late 19th Century Flats and Single Family Homes 3. Turn of the Century Residences of the Leaders of Industry and Commerce 4. 1920's Period Houses for the Business and Professional Classes Wright Park: Wright Park (also called 'Cenotaph Park' and Veterans Park') was named for early Niagara Falls architect George W. Wright who served as the City's first Mayor. Wright Park includes memorials to Veterans of all US wars.
