Erected in 1911 by the Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburgh Railway through the generous efforts of wealthy Orchard Park philanthropist, Harry Yates. In 1971, the vacant depot and freight house were purchased by local resident developers, Mr. & Mrs. Edmund F. Burke and family. In 1983, to insure restoration and preservation of this historic site, the Burke Family generously donated the land and building to the Western New York Railway Historical Society. The restored 1912 grandeaur appearence was made possible through energetic labors of the society.
