Presidential Residence

"This residence and grounds are named in honor of Marvin E. Thames, Ph.D., who served this college in the following manner: Director of Isaac Delgado Trades School from 1954 to 1958; Dean and President of Delgado Trades and Technical Institute from 1958 to 1962; and President of Delgado Community College from 1962 to 1979. Dr. Thames and his family resided here in the Presidential Residence from 1956 to 1979."
