On September 19th this battery was engaged for several hours with the enemy's artillery at Glass' Mill. Later moved with the Brigade via Crawfish Spring to the Dyer field and bivouacked. The Battery retired soon after noon under General Negley's orders to Rossville, where it bivouacked. Total casualties: killed; 1 officer, 5 enlisted men; wounded, 16 enlisted men; missing, 4 enlisted men. Lost: 2 guns, 1 caisson, 3 limbers. Horses killed 46.
