I'm fond of genealogy and descending directly from Jean-Marie Chotard-Laplace.
I was very surprised to find this marker because as far as I know, Chotard spent only a few years in Washington and I'm not aware of any specific achievements there... How come that he was honored in such way and by whom? Do you have any information about it?
