You are standing at the bottom of Ten Sleep Canyon near the western edge of the Big Horn Mountains. These steep rocky cliffs were the native territory of the Bighorn sheep. Disease and the activities of humans and livestock have led to their eventual disappearance. They have been reintroduced to this Forest through the cooperation efforts of the U.S. Forest Service and the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.
