Brothers John (1896-1968) and Joe (1900-1970) Heving of Covington made it to the big leagues. John began major league career, 1920, as catcher, while Joe made his debut, 1930, as pitcher. Several teams benefited during their careers of 8 and 13 seasons. The brothers played together on local teams, including the Golden Rods, when in town.
