First services of Trinity Episcopal
Church were held May 3, 1817, in the
residence of Dr. Lincoln Goodale,
where later Columbus' first Sunday
School was founded.
The first church building was built
in 1831 one half block east of High
on Broad.
The present building at Broad and
Third was completed in 1869.
Trinity has served as a house of
worship for people from all walks
of life including governors and
presidents of the United States.
